What is FIEO?
The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) is the apex body of Indian export promotion councils, commodity boards, and development authorities. Established jointly by the Ministry of Commerce and the private trade sector in 1965, FIEO serves as the primary trade facilitation council representing the interests of Indian exporters internationally.
Under the Foreign Trade Policy, an exporter whose product lines are not exclusively governed by a specialized commodity board (such as APEDA, Spices Board, or CAPEXIL) or who operates as a multi-product trading house or service exporter must obtain their Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) through FIEO.

Required Documents
- Active DGFT Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) certificate.
- Entity PAN Card and Certificate of Incorporation (or Partnership Deed / GST registration).
- Bank certificate confirming operational account in the prescribed format.
- Board Resolution or authorization letter on letterhead authorizing the applicant.
- Details of export turnover for the preceding financial year certified by a Chartered Accountant (if claiming status holder benefits).
