What is CAPEXIL?
CAPEXIL (Chemical & Allied Export Promotion Council of India) was established in 1958 by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. It is the premier autonomous export promotion council catering to a wide spectrum of mineral, chemical, and natural product manufacturing sectors.
Under India's Foreign Trade Policy, exporters of industrial products covered under CAPEXIL's 16 diverse commodity panels must obtain a Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) to claim export incentives, customs duty drawbacks, and advance trade licenses.
Sectors & Panels Covered by CAPEXIL
CAPEXIL encompasses a diverse collection of non-petrochemical manufacturing and processing industries:
- Ceramics & Sanitaryware: Wall tiles, floor tiles, vitrified tiles, sanitary fixtures, and technical ceramics (a dominant manufacturing hub in Gujarat).
- Rubber Products & Auto Tyres: Industrial conveyor belts, hoses, rubber molded goods, pneumatic tyres, and automotive tubes.
- Minerals & Ores: Bentonite, bauxite, feldspar, quartz, silica sand, industrial clays, and processed minerals.
